The Painted Burro began in Somerville's Davis Square in 2012 and now has a second location in Waltham, as well as two locations of its smaller sister restaurant, Burro Bar, in Brookline and Boston's South End. 

Featuring an exciting seasonal menu that highlights the diverse cuisines of Latin America, along side a variety of margaritas, local beers and select wines. From our wonderfully flavored moles to our selection of grilled meats and fish to our extensive list of over 100 craft tequilas the goal at The Painted Burro is to impart our local chef-driven styles into modern interpretations of Latin American cuisine with a strong respect for tradition.
